Center fails to coordinate inspections of ships under grain deal
U.N., Jun 2 (PRIME) -- A joint coordination center in Istanbul has not coordinated inspections of ships that partake in the Black Sea Grain Initiative for Thursday and Friday, Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson for U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres, said in a news briefing on Friday.
“The joint coordination center failed to conduct inspections yesterday and today. The parties did not manage to agree on the ships,” he said.
Now, 29 ships are located in the region with 20 of them are in the Ukrainian ports, he added.
